Politically, I am independent. In the last presidential election I did not support either Trump or Biden. We need better choices. Frankly, it wouldn't take much, like a chimp or well-behaved yorgi. Maybe the situation will improve in 2024, but it isn't looking that way. As a property owner in Canada, I'm thinking about packing my tent and heading north.

Polarization here is off the charts. One might have thought we could have united to fight COVID-19 as a common enemy, but that went wildly off the rails. We learned next to nothing from the 2018 flu. Sadly, I don't think we're any more ready for the next pandemic or catastrophe. We are experiencing a global epidemic of amnesia.

So, my solution for survival is to pluck humor from insanity, and that is what you'll find here. The only complaint from readers so far has been their inability to distinguish my satire from reality. To quote the Moody Blues:
