Republicans today claimed the French bulldog was elevated to supremacy by the Biden administration as a thank-you for France supporting its pro-Ukraine position and supplying a few main battle tanks.
Unfortunately, French military equipment almost never works, and their tanks are notoriously difficult to start when cold. They are, however, the only tanks in the world with an integral wine rack.
Meanwhile, Democrats called the French bulldog "the most lovable of all pets" in direct contrast to leader Biden's own German Shepherd dogs which have been known to occasionally enjoy their tender meat for lunch.
The decision will be reviewed by a select judiciary committee lead by senator Lindsay Graham who, incidentally, hates all dogs and has a house full of cats.
