Quick & Easy Antenna

When my daughter was in Brooklyn during the summer of 2012 her roommate had a nice HDTV but money was tight and they cancelled cable. The London Olympics were coming up. I told her she could watch them (and most New York City channels) using a paper clip and her iPod USB charging cable! She could see the broadcast antenna atop the Empire State Building so her TV antenna didn't need to be too fancy.

Parts:
(a) one standard shiny metal paper clip
   - NOT plastic or plastic-coated
   - NOT heavy-duty
AND
(b) one standard iPod USB charging cable

Assembly:
1. Bend the outside leg of the paper clip out 90 degrees.

2. Push the paper clip over the USB plug on the charging cable.

3. Push the bent-out leg of the paper clip into the Antenna/Cable jack on the TV.

4. Program the TV.

5. Finally, adjust the antenna to vertical or horizontal or at an angle to get the best reception.
